2021-22 Country Umpire Representative Panel

NSWCUSA is delighted to announce the 2021-22 Country Umpire Representative Panel, with eight umpires selected for panel that services Country Cricket NSW representative programs.

Four umpires have made the decision to stand down from the panel from last season: Ken Brooks, Gary Crombie, Tony Hackett and Ross McKim.

Each umpire departs the panel with considerable experience in Country Cricket representative programs.

Hackett and McKim have been on the panel for a total of five seasons, Hackett’s tenure coming across two stints whilst McKim has been a member of the panel since the 2016-17 season.

Crombie joined the panel in 2017-18 and Brooks the following season, each remaining on the panel since.

Crombie officiated seven Country Cricket finals in his time on the panel, including four finals in underage Women’s Country Championships as well as finals in the Bradman Cup and Country Colts.

McKim has been involved in five finals, two in each of the Bradman and Kookaburra Cups.

Hackett oversaw four finals, including two in the Kookaburra Cup and one in the Country Plate.

The Association would like to thank the four for their work as members of the panel, their loyalty to their colleagues and for all they do for cricket in their respective districts and zones.

Whilst Crombie has relocated interstate, the remaining three will continue to contribute to their local competitions both as on-field officials and as volunteer administrators.

Selectors decided not to replace the four umpires and the eight remaining umpires will form the panel for 2021-22.

The Association extends congratulations to the eight umpires selected on the panel and wishes them all the best for the coming season.

Together with NSWCUSA Zone Umpire Representatives, the panel will meet for a pre-season workshop in Scone next month.
