The Annual Dinner provides us an opportunity to celebrate the 2018-19 cricket season and gives us a chance to recognise the accomplishments of our members throughout the summer.
We will congratulate those umpires and scorers who received appointments to representative fixtures, acknowledge some special milestones as well as the presentation of the Association’s perpetual awards.
Entertainment for the night will be provided by former Australia, NSW and Tasmania representative Ed Cowan. He will be familiar to many of you having worn the whites of Sydney University in NSW Premier Cricket for many years now – which he continues to do whenever available. Having retired from the professional scene after last season, Ed is now one of the voices of summer, a regular feature on ABC Grandstand’s coverage.
Jay Lenton will once again be hosting the evening as MC. The Sydney Thunder and Manly-Warringah wicket-keeper returns to a role he has relished over the last few years. He has provided some very polished performances, showcasing his quick wit, so beware those that have shared the field with him! No doubt he will have a few comments about those of you he has had the pleasure of dealing with over the course of the summer.
Come along and enjoy the chance to socialise with scorer and umpire colleagues from all over the State, where you can share war stories from the season just gone whilst enjoying a three-course meal and beverages.
The night promises to be highly entertaining and great fun for all who attend. We look forward to seeing many members in attendance, and to welcoming our special guests from Cricket NSW, the Sydney Cricket Association and NSW Country Cricket Association.
