Polosak to Umpire T20 World Cup Semi Final

Claire Polosak has been appointed to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Semi Final between India and England scheduled to take place at the SCG this afternoon.

Appearing at her third T20 World Cup, it will be her second Semi Final, having also stood in the India and England Semi Final at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua in 2018.

During the preliminary rounds of the tournament, Claire officiated on field in four matches – overseeing West Indies v Thailand, West Indies v Pakistan, England v West Indies and Pakistan v Thailand.

The rain-affected Pakistan v Thailand match was Claire’s 50th Women’s International match – in addition to the Men’s One Day International she officiated in Namibia last year.

33 of those matches have been in the T20 format with 11 coming during her three appearances at World Cups.

Claire’s partner for the match will be Pakistani Ahsan Raza.

NSWCUSA members Christine Bennison and Darren Mattison will be scorers for both semi-finals, both officiating in their first ICC Women’s T20 World Cups.

Christine recorded three matches during the preliminary rounds of the tournament – including the tournament opener between Australia and India.
