Challenging Match Scenarios
Andrew Coates hosted a discussion with three of NSWCUSA’s contracted umpires – Greg Davidson, Simon Lightbody and Tony Wilds – based on some challenging scenarios that they’ve faced throughout their careers and some helpful hints on managing them.
Mental Health In Focus
Cricket Australia’s Senior Mental Health & Performance Manager, Matthew Burgin, along with International Panel umpire Paul Wilson facilitated a workshop around the relationship between mental health and being a match official.
How Can We Improve One Match at a Time?
Association Hall of Fame member and former international umpire Simon Taufel presented a fascinating and engaging session on we can improve as officials from each match we do through our attitude and feedback received.
Working as the Third Team
Representative scorer Ian Wright and Men’s Premier Cricket First Grade umpire Dan Moran collaborated in this session covering best-practices within the Third Team including how to work together to manage a match smoothly as well as resolving any issues that may arise!
Scoring a T20 Match
Representative scorer Adrian Tham worked through the rain-affected Heat v Stars match from BBL|10, highlighting key moments from the match from a scorers’ perspective.
