Polosak and Penman Appointed to WBBL|09 Final

NSWCUSA members Troy Penman and Claire Polosak have been appointed by Cricket Australia to officiate tonight’s Women’s Big Bash League Final between the Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat at the Adelaide Oval.

Polosak will be on-field, with South Australian umpire Eloise Sheridan, whilst Penman has been appointed TV Umpire for the match.

For Polosak it will be the fourth time she has been in the middle of the WBBL Final, having previously umpired the final in 2019, 2020 and again in 2022.

Earlier this week she was TV Umpire in the Challenger match, which saw the Brisbane Heat defeat the Perth Scorchers to advance to the final.

Last month saw Polosak make her Sheffield Shield debut, with tonight to be her 43rd WBBL match.

Penman was on-field in The Challenger at the WACA Ground on Wednesday night and was Fourth Umpire for the Eliminator the night prior.

The final will be his 17th match as TV Umpire in the competition, which includes last year’s final where he was also appointed to the match at North Sydney Oval.

State Umpiring Manager Darren Goodger praised the pair ahead of the match, “They are exceptional match officials at national level.

“We wish them and their match official colleagues all the very best for an enjoyable and successful experience in this national final.”

They will be joined by Drew Crozier as Fourth Umpire, with David Johnston to be Match Referee. Local scorers Mark Harris, Kate Murphy and Ian Graham will record the match.

The match commences at 7.10pm AEDT and can be watched live on the Seven Network, Foxtel and Kayo.
