Four Members to Officiate BBL|10 Final

Four NSWCUSA members will be involved in tomorrow’s Big Bash League Final as the Sydney Sixers look to defend their title against the Perth Scorchers in the first BBL match at the SCG since last summer’s Final.

Paul Wilson will be partnered in the middle by Tasmanian Sam Nogajski with Toni Lorraine and Ian Wright recording their signals in the scorer’s box.

Gerard Abood will be the Third Umpire whilst Victorian Shawn Craig will act as Fourth Umpire.

It will be Wilson’s fourth BBL Final as an on-field umpire – adding to his previous appearances in the deciders of BBL|04, BBL|06 and BBL|09.

Wilson has officiated four matches so far in BBL|10 – including last weekend’s Qualifier between the Sixers and Scorchers.

Alongside the four Big Bash matches, Wilson was involved in all three formats of the recent Indian tour of Australia – on field in two Test matches, one ODI and a T20I fixture.

Similar to Wilson, both Lorraine and Wright were involved in all three formats of the recent Indian tour, officiating together in the New Year’s Test and matches in both white-ball series.

With no matches having taken place in New South Wales so far in BBL|10, it will be the first match this season for the pair in the competition.

It’s the second Men’s BBL final to take place in Sydney and will be the second scored by Wright – and it will see him add to his 28 previous domestic men’s T20 matches.

Lorraine will be scoring her first Big Bash Final in what will be her 76th domestic T20 match – with 45 WBBL and 30 BBL fixtures to her name.

Bob Stratford has been appointed Match Referee, the sixth time he has overseen a BBL Final.
