Moran Appointed to U19 Female National Final

NSW State Panel umpire Dan Moran has been appointed to the final of the U19 Female National Championships taking place today at the WACA Ground.

The match will be his second national final, having officiated the Men’s Division Final of the National Indigenous Cricket Championships at Alice Springs in 2019.

He will be joined in the middle by West Australian Ashlee Gibbons as NSW Metro face Victoria Country, with each side looking to secure their first title since the carnival became an U19 event.

The pair also stood together on the opening day of the tournament in a T20 match between Victoria Country and Tasmania.

Moran has been on-field each day during the T20 element and the 50-over phase, including the match between the two finalists yesterday in the final preliminary round.

During the carnival, he has overseen three Victoria Country matches and two NSW Metro fixtures.

This season is his first as a member of the NSW State Panel, which has seen him make debuts in both of Cricket Australia’s professional women’s competitions.

He has been in the middle for two WNCL matches so far this season and officiated three WBBL fixtures during WBBL|08.

Since debuting in NSW Premier Cricket, he has officiated 61 matches, including 47 in men’s First Grade since 2018.

His first national underage championship was the U18 Female carnival in 2019-20, held across Tasmania with T20 and one-day matches played in Hobart and Launceston.

The match commences at 1.30pm AEDT and can be watched live HERE
