NSWCUSA Members in WNCL Final

A number of NSWCUSA members are officiating in today’s Women’s National Cricket League Final, underway at North Sydney Oval between New South Wales and Western Australia.

Troy Penman and Ben Treloar are the on field officials, with the pair signalling to Toni Lorraine and Kay Wilcoxon in the scorers’ box. David Gilbert is the Cricket Australia Match Referee supervising proceedings.

Both Penman and Treloar are members of CA’s Supplementary Umpire Panel – Troy in his first season on the panel and Ben in his third.

The final is Ben’s second national final this season – he was also on field in the WBBL|05 Final at Allan Border Field in December as the Brisbane Heat defeated the Adelaide Strikers.

This season also saw Ben make his List A debut, officiating the match between South Australia and Tasmania at Karen Rolton Oval in October.

Today is Troy’s first senior national final, after four underage national finals in previous seasons– two at the U19 level and one each at U15 and U17 national carnivals.

Earlier this season, he was on field in the Prime Minister’s XI match against Sri Lanka at Manuka Oval.

Kay Wilcoxon is recording her seventh WNCL Final, having officiated the match in 2007-08, 2012-13, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2017-18, 2018-19, she also scored the Women’s Test match between Australia and England in 2017-18.

It is Toni Lorraine’s second WNCL Final, having also partnered Kay to score the 2007-08 Final between New South Wales and South Australia. Toni has extensive experience at the Women’s International level, having scored matches at the 2009 Women’s World Cup.
